The Atlanta Braves had lots of ups and downs this year and I am going to tell you the bad parts and the good parts of their season.
First, I am going to talk about the disappointing parts. Injuries were a major disadvantage for the Braves. Their two best players Ronald Acuna Jr. and Spencer Strider were both sadly injured for the season. Although Strider was injured the Braves pitching was still very strong. Not only was the Braves pitching good, they had the best ERA and most strikeouts in MLB. And also, most people think that Chris Sale will be the National League Cy Young Award winner.
Acuna was not the only key hitter with injuries. Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley and Michael Harris II spent time on the injured list. Although the Braves did not have all the stars they used to have, Marcell Ozuna had an amazing year with 39 home runs and 104 RBIs. Despite all the bad things that happened to the Braves they still managed to go to the playoffs.
Even though they did not do well in the postseason, I am looking forward to next year when they have their star players back.
