The Rangers, who made a splash and signed free agent Jacob deGrom to bolster their rotation, have started out the gate winning baseball games.
Just a year ago today, the Rangers were 2-8 and in dead last, but what a difference a couple of big moves can make to bring the team together.
Texas started the season with a 3-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies, then after losing two of three to the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago Cubs in back to back series, they turned the corner by winning their next three series’.
The Rangers took two out of three from the Royals, then two out of three from the Houston Astros, and finished a three game sweep of the Royals today with a 12-3 victory.
The Rangers have outscored their opponents 112-69, compared to a year ago when they only mustered 81 runs in their first 18 games.
Its exciting to see the Rangers finally enjoying some winning baseball.
