MiLB Mid-Season Classic: First Up the Florida State League

Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium Will Host The FSL Mid-Season Classic

With the calendar changing to June 1st on Saturday, the MiLB respective leagues are gearing up for their Mid-Season Classics. The Florida State League is up first, with their All-Star Game set for Saturday, June 15th at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, the home of the Palm Beach Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads. (Side note: Legends on Deck will be present at the event and providing all the game action, including the hits from the Home Run Derby).

The 2019 season also marks the 100th Anniversary of the Florida State League, which in itself is a great celebration, so having the Cardinals and Hammerheads host the 58th FSL All Star Game, sure has its upside.

Andrew Seymour, GM of the Pam Beach Cardinals, shared with me how he also felt this was a great event to host and be a part of:

For all of us here, this is a very special event. It gives us the opportunity to showcase our beautiful stadium that sits right in the heart of the community, and allows visitors to experience all the great things that our area has to offer.

For our great staff –  that have all worked really hard for this – this is a special weekend where we not only play host to the stars of the game on the field, but all of the off-field industry’s leaders in our game, as well.

It’s a big stage and we’re excited to shine the light on the stars of the game, the area, and show people a great time!

The host teams will have their own representations as the Hammerheads (15-35) will be sending pitchers Edward Cabrera (3-2, 2.78 ERA), Jordan Holloway (2-1, 1.50 ERA) and INF Jose Devers (.325 BA). As for the Cardinals (32-21, 1st), Justin Toerner OF,  Bryan Dobzanski P, Angel Rondon P, and Julio Rodriguez OF, will star for Palm Beach.
