Last feat accomplished with 12 teams in 1914.

mlb tm

On Wednesday, I saw an interesting stat on MLB.com; on Tuesday, all 15 home teams won their game on the same day, which is the first time in league’s history. According to Elias Sports Bureau, 12 home team won on the same day on May 23, 1914.

That is an amazing feat considering there is no way of even predicting when it would happen.

The teams included are: the Blue Jays, Rays, Indians, Royals, White Sox, Twins and Mariners and in the National League, the Mets, Marlins, Cubs, Cardinals, D-Backs, Padres, Dodgers and Giants.

Toronto 4, Oakland 2

Blue Jays won their 9th straight game.

 Tampa Bay 2, Atlanta 0

Rays scored two runs late to shut out the Braves, and win their 3rd straight game.

Cleveland 5, New York 4 – 16 Inn

Indians failed to hold on to an early 2-0 lead over the Yankees and the game went into extras tied at 2-2. In the 10th, the Yankees took a 4-2 lead, and the Indians responded with two more and then in the 16th inning they scored the winning run. Took extra time to be apart of history.

Kansas City 6, Detroit 1

Royals won their 5th straight game and lead the Central Division by 12 games.

Chicago 3, Los Angeles 0

White Sox received great pitching performance from Carlos Rodon ( 7IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 11K) and shut out the Angels.

Minnesota 3, Texas 2

Twins score two runs in the bottom of the 8th and one in the ninth to walk-off the Rangers.

Seattle 6, Baltimore 5

Mariners led 5-2, but allowed the Orioles to tie the game with three runs in the top of the eighth, but Austin Jackson singled in the bottom of the 10th to walk-off the Orioles.

Miami 5, Boston 4 – 10 Inn

Marlins battle back from a 4-0 deficit, tie the game in the bottom of the ninth and walk-off the Red Sox with a run in the bottom of the tenth.

New York 4, Colorado 0

Mets continued their recent dominance as Matt Harvey won his 11th game with an outstanding performance (8 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K) against the Rockies.

Chicago 6, Milwaukee 3

San Diego 11, Cincinnati 6

Padres scored all 11 runs on the Reds in the first three innings and their rookie right hander picked up his first MLB victory.

Los Angeles 5, Washington 0
