Prospects on Deck: 3B Michael Curialle – Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals drafted Michael Curialle in the 12th round of the 2022 June draft out of UCLA. In three years at UCLA, Curialle batted .306, with 33 doubles, six triples, eight home runs and 86 RBIs.
After draft day, the Freehold, NJ native started his pro ball career on July 29trh with the Palm Beach Cardinals (Low A) and on July 30th, he recorded his first hit.
In August, he hit safely 8 of 14 games, with stretches’ of two 4-game hitting streaks. He finished his first pro season batting .231 (15 for 65), with four doubles, and five RBIs.
In 2023, Curialle has started the season with the Palm Beach Cardinals and he currently has hit safely in 8 of 10 games.
During that stretch he had a five game hitting streak as well as three multi hit games, 4 for 4 on April 12th, 3 for 4 on April 14th and 2 for 2 on April 18th.
Curialle has turned it on within the last week and is currently batting .467 (14 for 30), with nine runs scored, six doubles, a triple, home run and seven RBIs.
Along with Curialle’s hot hitting, the Palm Beach Cardinals have also won five straight games, and are 6-4 and tied with the Jupiter Hammerheads for 1st place in the Florida State League East division.
