Prospects on Deck: Braves RHP Jasseel De La Cruz Tosses No No
First No-No in Fire Frogs Team History

The Atlanta Braves Class-A Advanced affiliate the Florida Fire Frogs have been in existence since 2017 and even though they have yet to have a successful season in the win column, on Saturday the organization celebrated an individual feat for the first time.
Jasseel De La Cruz, a right handed pitching prospect who has been in the Braves system since being signed in 2015, made history for the Fire Frogs by pitching the teams first no-hitter.
De La Cruz won his third game of the season, by tossing nine innings, allowing two walks, while striking out four.
The Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic native retired the side in order in the first and the first five batters before giving up a walk in the second. After retiring the last batter to end the second inning, De la Cruz went on a roll retiring the next 14 batters before giving up his second walk of the game in the top of the seventh.
The Braves #17 Top pitching prospect and #25 overall in the system, finished the game retiring the last eight batters he faced to complete his no-no.
As for the game, the Fire Frogs scored six runs between the third and fifth innings to take a 6-0 lead, then added six more runs between the seventh and eighth inning to blow open the game and the special night with a 12-0 victory.
