The Chicago White Sox won their game on Tuesday 2-1, against the Los Angeles Angels and Chris Sale had another stellar start to win his fourth game on the season after tossing seven innings, and allowing no earned runs, on just two hits with three strike outs.
The four-time all-star, who coming off a 1-0 complete game shutout on April 15th, where he allowed just two hits against the Tampa Rays, while striking out nine batters, is off to another great start since the 2014 season, when he won five of his first seven starts.
In the first on Tuesday, he gave up a two-out single to Mike Trout, but then induced a fly ball out off the bat of Albert Pujols to end the inning.
Sale then retired eight batters in a row before giving up a one-out single to Trout in the fourth. Trout was caught trying to steal second, and Pujols then struck out to end the inning.
The lefty then retired the last ten batters he faced before handing over a 2-0 lead to his bullpen. In the top of the eighth, Angels Rafael Ortega singled home Kole Calhoun to pull within 2-1, but David Robertson retired the last four batters to secure the victory and also earn his sixth save on the season.
With the win the White Sox improved to 10-5, while taking over first place from the Kansas City Royals and the Angels loss dropped them to 6-9.
