Savannah Sand Gnats Down Braves, 9-5

Game three of the three game series between the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Rome Braves was played Wednesday at Grayson Stadium in front of 1,059 fans.

Fans got to see lots of hits as Savannah outhit Rome 16-10, and won the game 9-5. Savannah scored first when they sent nine players to plate in the second inning, had five hits and scored four runs. Stefan Sabol singled and went to third on a single by J.C. Rodriguez. A single by Patrick Biondi scores Sabol. Pedro Perez singled to load the bases. Rodriguez would score on a balk and Luis Guillorme drove in two runs with a double.

Rome scored four runs in the fourth inning. The first three batters singled,Wigberto Nevarez, Codey McElroy, and Braxton Davidson to load the bases. A walk to Omar Obregon scored a run. The second run scored on a wild pitch and then two more would score on a single by Ozhanio Albies.

The Sand Gnats scored four runs in their fourth inning. Tyler Moore doubled (his first hit this season), went to third on a sac-bunt by Guillorme and scored on a single by John Mora. Jon Leroux singled and a walk to Sabol would load the bases. Rodriguez hit a triple to plate three more runs.

Both teams scored  a run in the sixth inning to close out the scoring.
