South Beats North 9-5 In NY-Penn League All-Star Game

The New York-Penn League All-Star game was played in front of 5,509 fans at Dutchess Stadium and they witnessed the South defeat the North 9-5, which was a close game until the top of the sixth inning when the South pulled away.
With the South leading 4-3 in the sixth inning, Kevin Krause walked to lead-off the inning. After a single from Elier Rodriguez moved Krause to second base, Todd Isaacs reached on a fielding error allowing Krause to score and advancing Rodriguez to third.
Then back to back singles from Nick Solak and Andrew Calica allowed Rodriguez Isaacs to score. Hunter Owen hit a sac fl scoring Solak to add the fourth run of the inning and extend the lead to 8-4.
The South scored an additional run in the top of the seventh to pull away to a 9-4 lead as the North managed one last run in the bottom of the frame, but could not get any closer as the South held on for the victory.
