Sun Lakes Conference Championship GM 2: The Bobcats Win In Heavyweight Thriller Versus Panther

In what may have been the most thrilling game of the entire tournament, Pasco-Hernando State was able to walk it off in dramatic circumstances with a 10-9 victory in the 9th over South Florida State.

With 1 out in the 9th, R-Fr. OF Aiden Corn grounded into a play over at short to power-hitting shortstop Pedro Moreno for the Panthers, but a long throw over to first on a potential double play from Stanley after the out at 2nd resulted in what would create a dramatic finish to what was a heavyweight thriller of a game.

The Panthers relied heavily on power first baseman Brylan West, who had three base hits on the evening and was one of the key contributors to the momentum shifts in the game.

For the Bobcats, So. catcher David Stokley got the bats going in the game, going 3-3 with a homer and a single to his line on the night.

After a mentally and physically grueling showdown, the Panthers must now look towards the other Panthers team in the tournament, Palm Beach St., for an early matinee showdown at 2 p.m. EST with the season on the line while Pasco-Hernando State sets up a regular season finale and ranked rematch for tomorrow night for a spot in the Sun Lakes Conference Championship game on Saturday night.
