Winter Garden, FL – Thursday night, supported by a 6 run first inning and strong pitching, West Orange lasted Foundation Academy 6-3 in front of a packed house at West Orange’s A-Game Field.
West Orange was lead offensively by Kas Ocasio and Nathan Rich with 2 hits a piece and took advantage of two key two out errors by Foundation in the first inning to put up all of the runs they would need for the night.
Parker Hohnstock gave West Orange 5 solid innings of work on the mound with 6 strikeouts while giving up only two hits. Sims McClusky earned the save with two lights out innings surrendering no hits while striking out 5 to close the door on an emotional game between two programs separated by less than 5 miles in Winter Garden.
West Orange will face it’s other Winter Garden foe, the Horizon Hawks , next Thursday night at 6pm at Horizon High school. We hope to see you there for another great night of baseball in the 34787.
