The New York Yankees pitching prospect Dietrich Enns has started three games so far in 2016 and has yet to give up a run.

The Illinois native was drafted by the Yankees in the 19th round of the 2012 MLB June Amateur draft and in three seasons prior to 2016, he has a 1.93 minor league ERA, while striking out 226 strikeouts in mostly 210.2 relief innings.

But this season right hander is a starter with the Yanks Double-A affiliate, Trenton Thunder and in three appearances he has been almost untouchable.

In his first start of the season, Enns tossed 4.2 innings, allowing three hits, no runs, while walking four and striking out four. On April 16th, the Yankees prospect almost mimicked his first start, but he lasted six innings, allowing three hits, no runs, walking four and striking out two, earning his first win of the young season.

On Friday, Enns took the mound against the Akron RubberDucks and earned his second win after tossing six innings, allowing just one hit, no runs, walking three and striking out a career high 11 batters.

The Yankees, who are looking to beef up their minor league pitching, have a special pitcher in Enns, as he proves his worth and continues his trend of limiting the amount of base runners that cross home plate during his starts.
